When they told me I was going to get my ulcers lasered…I panicked. I was thinking the worst. Dr. Mathias explained to me what was going to happen. I thought I was going to hurt because I didn’t have to be numb. I was really scared…Right after the procedure was done I didn’t feel anything anymore. By the next morning, I didn’t have any sore spots…

It pays to go to the dentist! Dr. Mathias, after examining my teeth, advised me to have a questionable area checked out. The ENT doctor and my oncologist found a recurrence of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, stage 4. Now after 4 treatments of Rituxan, my oncologist refers to me as the “miracle woman”…Yes, it pays to go to the dentist.

I was very nervous when I sat down in the chair. Mostly about the needle and injection, but when it actually happened, I didn’t feel a thing. It was almost painless. I also like the fact that he explains everything before he does it.

Today was my first cleaning with Karen and I must say that I found the whole experience to be very pleasant. Karen’s friendliness and personable character made me feel very at ease. There is a vibratory oneness you create with your patient that we know that you are concerned and conscientious. It’s not something that could be taught, but comes from your purpose chosen when you decided on your profession.
You don’t berate, warn, or scare me with what I might have been lax in doing, but just
encourage me to pick it up again.
Whatever happens in the chair, I always leave feeling that I’ve been with a long-time friend that I can share anything with which also makes me feel free to share any teeth problems I might try to hide since I have a bit of fear and shyness.

My latest sojourn to the dentist was such a pleasant surprise that I’m recommending Dr. Mathias and his staff to all in my sphere of influence. The office atmosphere is courteous and extremely professional. Appointments are, wonder of wonders, on time.

The people at Dr. Mathias’ office are exceptional, each and every one. They are always professional. In all the time I have spent in the office, I have never seen one staff member without a smile or heard anyone speak loudly. They are caring and supportive. If I have to wait while the doctor attends to another patient, someone comes to check on me every few minutes just to ask, “Are you doing OK? Do you need anything?” Patients really appreciate that extra effort. Lastly, this group works with precision and efficiency – a real team.

DeLand Center for Aesthetic Dentistry used Isolite for my 2 recent appointments to get a crown & 5 cavities filled. Using the Isolite system made coming to the dentist a much more pleasant experience. I would recommend this dentist and the procedures he uses. It almost made coming to the dentist pleasant!

I am 58 yrs old and am one of those people who has always had a lot of cavities, root canals & crowns -- even though I have always taken very good care of my teeth.
